List Of Requested Fulltext Plugins

From KatWiki

This is the table of requested fulltext (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_text_search) plugin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plugin) for Kat. Every plugin needs a helper application (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helper_application) to work. This application should be installable by the end user simply installing the package that contains it. For this reason the table contains a column for the package. The table also allows to specify the parameters needed by the application to output the content of the document either in plain text or in HTML. In both cases the output must be encoded in UTF-8 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-8). The last column, Output type, allows you to specify if the output is text or HTML.

  • If you know about a linux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux) command line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_line) application with the ability to extract the fulltext from a specific MIME type (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIME_type) and display it on the standard output device (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stdout) (the screen), don't hesitate and put it in the table. We will verify the information you supply and create a new fulltext plugin for Kat!
  • You can also simply insert the MIME type (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIME_type) you would like to be managed by Kat. We will search the appropriate application!
  • lesspipe.sh (http://www-zeuthen.desy.de/~friebel/unix/lesspipe.html) contains clues on how to extract useful information from files.

Requested but don't make sense, because all interesting info is extracting using kfile plugins, and there is no such thing as full text (or is it the idea that Kat would download the song text from internet??):
